India's business tycoon, Mukesh Ambani, the elder son of Dhirubhai Ambani, has solidified his status as Asia's richest person with a staggering net worth of approximately $116 billion as of October 2024.

This positions him 9th on Forbes' World's Billionaires List. According to Forbes.com “Mukesh Ambani chairs and runs $120 billion (revenue) Reliance Industries, which has interests in petrochemicals, oil and gas, telecom, retail, media and financial services.”

Ambani, who oversees Reliance Industries, reclaimed this title after briefly overtaken billionaires like Zhong Shanshan, also known as the "Lone Wolf." Zhong had held the top spot in Asia for a short while before Ambani, the driving force behind India's Jio and a key player in the energy sector, surged back to the lead. According to Forbes, Ambani's wealth has seen significant growth in recent years, cementing his place not just as Asia's wealthiest, but also as one of the top global billionaires.
